Head unit replacement help

Hey guys just wanted to see if anyone has the answer to my question. I just bought the dual electronics xdcpa11bt head unit and was planning to install it. I was trying to figure out what wiring harness I would need to buy but saw a lot of conflicting info. I have a 2006 limited with factory nav and jbl. I’d like to retain factory camera and steering controls. Thanks for any help!

I'd go with Crutchfield.com, they have really good prices and very detailed on what is needed. Doesn't look like they have that exact model though but may give you info you need.

Second - I know its not what youre looking for, but theres so many combos of factory set ups, after market add ons and then headunits that I appreciate crutchfield making the matches and recommending harness and everything else you need to make the install straightforward and seamless.

You could see if they can make recommendations or guide you on harnesses to purchase

I upgraded mine with a nex1400 a few years ago, I got all the “right” adapters and all before I started. Just make sure you have the wiring diagram and some splices and heat shrink before you start. Or buy all the adapters for Toyota and hope one fits.
My adapters were useless and I ended up having to splice in using the wiring diagram and I soldering and heat shrinking everything. So it would be good to have that on hand before you start to save you from having to button everything up and tear it back open.
Also there’s a steering wheel control module you’ll need to program before you start as well.

I would also recommend crutchfield. I purchase all of my components through them and have yet to have an issue. I understand you have already purchased your head-unit through another route, but their customer service is out of this world and if you wanted to buy a harness/data module (to retain steering wheel controls) reaching out to one of their reps might not be a bad step to take.

Given your requirements and you have the rarer JBL setup you are going to need some real tech savvy info that we can't give here. I avoided the headache and went with Crutchfield as well.

I'd call their tech department and tell them what you are doing and ask them what to buy from them to complete your setup. Good luck.
