Best place for parts?

It's time for a timing belt/water pump job on the 03 v8.
Where is the best place for parts right now? Looking for oem parts, buy it right, buy it once.
Thanks in advance.

I’ve had good luck with McGeorge Toyota.

Yes they do. I got my radiator from rock auto. Look for Denso and Aisin parts. Those are OEM sub-manufacturers. They usually don't have OEM supplier options for all parts, however. Sometimes dealer online parts stores can get you pretty nice discounts.

Fred Anderson Toyota in Raleigh has pretty good online discounts for OEM stuff. Years ago, I bought remanufactured CV axles for about 1 bill each. I don't really remember, but mine were a little more because I kept the originals and didn't get the core refund. I wanted to re-boot and have them available to swap out.

Rockauto does have the Aisin timing belt kit that most everyone here uses when they replace their timing belt and water pump...it's Aisin timing belt kit TKT021, all the parts are from OE suppliers to Toyota and put together by Aisin, if you click on the info tab it will tell you more about the kit.

You are correct. They dont sell Toyota brand. But Denso is an oem part supplier. Look at any part you remove and you will see Denso or Aisin stamped on them. But by all means, go to the toyota dealership if you enjoy paying 300% more for the same part.

+1 for Boch Toyota South Parts Dept.
Several thousand spent there on OEM parts and they have great diagrams and support!

When it comes to buying genuine Toyota OEM parts, I would not say there is ONE best place if price is a priority. First, there is no consistency in pricing between dealers. While all will sell items like oil filters for within a few cents of each other, prices for bigger items like window trim pieces and headlight assemblies vary quite a bit - no one place has had the best prices on everything I've needed in any order I've placed. In addition, there can be a huge difference in the amount they charge for shipping the order based on what's in it. I've seen as much as $300 difference between Toyota dealers for the same order because one place would ship the items UPS ground while another wanted to freight the order.

As a result, I have ordered from several Toyota dealers and have been happy with each. So there's also no one I would NOT recommend so far. I think this is why there are so many different recommendations that have been made by others.

I ordered an Aisin Waterpump from rockauto and it had the Toyota logo ground out. I knew it was the Toyota logo because my original had the logo on the same spot.

The Aisin kit can be found everywhere, including Amazon and Rockauto.

For true OEM parts, Partsouq.Com wins hands down

You can shop the official Toyota parts site, look at the schematics and compare price by dealership. Sometimes my dealership has a better price than others and I can get the part the same day, no shipping.

I'm all for OEM parts, however, with the pricing differences I am a big fan of previously mentioned Aisin and Denso parts.

everything else on Rock auto is just a temporary cheap solution that is bound to only last a fraction of the life of an OEM part, ask me how I know
