Lost power and abs kicks in?

We were driving from camping this weekend and have done highway, forest roads, mountains etc by Steamboat Springs no problem. Then today, pull off to let the dogs out. Eat lunch. 30 min later started to car and pulled on the road to go up the mountain pass. The 4runner. Wouldn’t go above 30mph and that was floored to the ground. No power above that and it didn’t want to shift. Then second later traction control kicks in and abs took over and jerks the car to the right. This happened two more times and pulled to the left. Never getting above 30. The only way I can drive normal is to be engage the center lock and have the vsc off. Now it drives perfectly fine. Was a fun issue to fine 200 miles from home. Anyone have any idea?

You sure it's 30mph? Because it sounds like you might be in some sort of limp mode which usually tops out around 20mph IIRC. Do you have any warning lights on? Was there anything abnormal before this issue happened? i.e. going through a large puddle or temperature changes, etc? What altitiude are we talking about? Also have you checked under the hood for evidence of critters nibbling on stuff?

30mph yes and wouldn’t go past that with less to the floor. No revs over 3k Then about 15 seconds later traction control kicks in and abs shakes and slams the vehicle to a stop.

Drove 3 hours to steamboat springs no problem. Two days of driving on forest roads / camp roads no problem. 3 more hours of driving no problem. Stopped for lunch and then this happened. No to everything. No warning lights other than traction when abs kicks in.

Sounds like one of your skid ECU inputs/sensors is out of whack or bad. Pull codes and that will give you answer.
