Driver door speaker for 2005 is busted

My left door speaker is starting to crackle under any mild bass- even just the radio. What have you guys replaced it with- OEM or is there a good replacement that is plug-and-play? Any help is appreciated.

I think the part # is: 86160-35190

Crutchfield

Have you looked at Crutchfield's site? They are a great company and I bought an adapter for my '04 T4R premium radio that lets me use Bluetooth and gives me an AUX connector for my Sirius head unit. I replaced the radio in the wife's 99 Sienna and she loves it; also Bluetooth, USB input connector.

Here's a list of available replacements. They also have a great support team to help with installation questions

I took a guess at your configuration. So start here to get exactly what you need.

Thanks man! I have replaced the head unit a few years ago with a Kenwood. It is just that left front door speaker that seems to be busted. Since it is the bass that causes the crackling, it has to be the lower speaker which is the woofer. Crutchfield may have some decent options so I'll check them out. My doors says "JBL Synthesis" so the OEM is a JBL, I'd guess.

My radio is the OEM 330 watt 10 speaker JBL system with RDS. I'm pleased with its performance but considered swapping out to get Bluetooth/Phone/AUX input. But I found an adapter at Crutchfield that is working out really well.

I have 2 speakers, each side of the rear pillars, that I believe are blown; too much Def Leppard I guess. I never heard them anyway so I've not bothered to replace them.

Ive also had a great experience with Crutchfield. I’d imagine there are lots of cost effective kits that surpass the OEM speakers for cheaper.
