Footrest question

Guys I have a weird question. The footrest (the angled black plastic box thing under the emergency brake pedal) broke off. I guess the old plastic just got too brittle. It looks like there are some bolts that go through the lower firewall to hold it on ... something like that. But when I peer inside the LF fender, I don't see any boltheads or anything.

I did manage to source a replacement part (58190-35030), but I don't see how to install/attach it.

Anyone know how the heck to replace it?

It's very simple -- the footrest pops on and off sort of like a Lego block.
