So basically same steps as before, once i have everything connected. vaccumm for a good 45 mins, close the lines, turn the truck on and than open up the high side and add freon..

When filling, Open the low side only. Do not open the high side. That freon can will explode with 225 psi.

When the new compressor arrives, empty out the oil. What you will do next is remove the old compressor, dump out the oil into a cup. Then put the same amount of new oil into a different cup with fresh oil. That is the amount you need to add to the new compressor. It may or may not be the same amount as what it was shipped with.

Yes. Add the correct amount of oil to the compressor before installing it.

Great video on how to quickly add PAG oil to the AC system.

so vaccummed for a little over an hour, held at 25.
locked both valves.
connected the can of freon, bleed the line of air
turned the truck on, thought the a/c was on
went back and opened low side, than realized i didn't even turn the a/c on
turned a/c on
during the filling of one can, the compressor kicked on
ghettoed rig my tiny scale since it read oz, read 22oz, emptied 9-10oz out of can #2.
gave it a couple seconds and the high side started building pressure was in the 275-300 range .
went from one side during can #1 being cool
to now both sides are cool
i took it for a spin around the block seems to be doing its job.
will post back on an actual hot day, as it rained here in florida and it was a bit cooler than usual.
