Anyone here running SPC arms with Offset SuperPro LCA's?

I just installed SuperPro Offset LCA's to replace a torn ball joint. I was looking at my alignment sheet and noticed my caster is off by about 1.5°. Right now I'm at 4.5°, where according to the OE Specs I should be closer to 3.25°. I'm thinking about adjusting my SPC star plate compensate for it. I think going from spot D to E will fix the caster.

Is this worth doing at all? Does that make sense to anyone else?

Not sure what tire size you are running, but if you are at 285 or 315s then that much caster is usually used to make clearance easier. Only issue I would imagine is that steering is gonna be tougher than it needs to be

I'm considering doing this as well since 2 of my cam bolts have been seized for years. Since it appears you're running a "smaller" tire (maybe 32" or 265/70??) and minimal offset, you wouldn't need a lot of extra caster. Also, because too high of a caster setting can cause more resistive steering when turning (good or bad depending on caster needed and preference), you could remove the extra caster achieved via the UCAs with a neutral setting.

Generally speaking on clearance, UCA caster hurts clearance since it shifts the ball joint to the rear as opposed to LCAs actually pushing the tire/knuckle forward. Again, doesnt appear to be an issue for you from that picture so more of an FYI I suppose.

What made you chose the extra offset SuperPros? And are you happy with them?...any squeaking or anything form their bushings?

I'm torn between OEM and those and I still haven't decided. I missed the Toyota sale going on earlier on the year where an OEM set was going for $440 or so...likely well over $$600+ now.

@ThatRed4thGen Any updates on this? Any squeaking out of their bushings? I'm about to pull the trigger on a set soon.

So far they've been perfect. I replaced my oem ones since they were leaking like crazy. The superpro also solved a thunking noise. Now it's smooth as silk offroad.

I got some advice on how to get 10% off. Try the code: SP10. If that doesn't work, then go to their website, sign up for communication. Add their away bar links to your cart but don't check out. In a day or so they should send you an email with a 10% off coupon.

It should look something like:

"You left an item in your cart

Hi, you added an item to your shopping cart and haven't completed your purchase. You can complete it now while it's still available. As a first time customer use code SP10 for 10% off at checkout."

Good to hear! On paper, they should give a little smoother articulation but who knows if that's something one could really notice. I'll just be glad to have extra caster available so I can get off my body mount. Appreciate the 10% coupon tip too. I'll try it out.

And I can see the 285 marking on the sidewall now but they just looked like 32s from that picture. Just the camera angle.

So you aren't experiencing any Body or body mount rubbing now? If so, I'd just leave the SPC setting as is.

Well I got into some miscommunication with the shop and ended up with like 2.5° caster. After I had gotten the first sheet back with the 4° caster. I adjusted the SPC ball joint to gain more caster. I told them exactly what I did and that I just wanted it aligned. The before measurement for caster was like 3.5° so almost perfect, but obviously everything else was off - toe, camber, etc.

For some reason the service writer thought I didn't just want everything fixed, but that I also wanted even more caster... So now I'm running like 2.5°. So far no rubbing though, so not worth another conversation with the service writer lol.

The code works for SP site (SP10). I see Apache Offroad has upped their price to $700 but yo8 can still get them for $650 straight from SuperPro with that code. Very nice. How long did yours take? It says out of stock on their site right now. It's expensive but I think a very good deal for those that need it considering the quality of their bolts and total cost of an OEM setup with OEM cam bolts.

And I always hate getting an alignment. Mainly because I know what I want but also dont like being "that guy." It really depends on the techs as I've had some bring me back and have me adjust the UCA BJ (I have SPC too) or at least show them how it's done. Not that it's hard or anything but they up for doing it how I asked. I wish I had a Hunter machine at home but they're a little pricey. Haha.

I haven't had my truck aligned in a few years since I havent swapped setups until recently but I've got one of those lifetime alignments at Firestone but who knows who they have working their now. The good techs I knew are long gone.

When I ordered mine they were in stock, so it was delivered within a week. Not sure about the time table if it's OOS.

I did butcher TF out of my LCA mount getting the old lca out since I had one sized bolt. I hit it with a couple sperts of black spray paint, but I really want to take the arm off, sand it down, and paint it again to make sure it doesn't corrode. But I know I'm gonna have a fuss with the techs if I do... Lol.
