Morimoto XB Fog light retrofit

Putting a feeler out to see if and how much interest there would be on this..

I can stand the stock fog lights, I've had morimoto XB fogs in the past and was super impressed with them. Unfortunately they only make them to fit 2010+ 4runners, plus I need to compliment my headlight build lol.

If I were to reverse engineer and 3D print some brackets to allow these to bolt right up to our 4th gens would anyone be interested?

Some pics from my headlight retrofit build - designed and printed my own brackets. They retain all factory adjustments.

With all due respect, the Morimoto XB fogs are some of the poorest performing aftermarket fogs on the market. Here's a relatively recent review of most of the popular aftermarket fogs and the Morimotos don't do very well at all.

The LED SAE J583 Fog Pod & Fog Light Review | Tacoma World

I'd suggest that there are far better fogs available that will bolt right in with no custom brackets required. I too tried the XB's when they first came out, but after several warranty replacements, I gave up on their quality. (I now run Diode Dynamics Max fogs.)

If you really like Morimoto products, you might want to consider their new 4Banger line which seriously out-performs the XB's and is available with factory brackets to bolt right into your T4R.

I run the diode dynamics ss3 sport yellow fog, requires some ford brackets, but if you use that as a template and extend one side to match up the stock holes, go for it, what I did is use some nuts and bolts. cheap enough.

just check out this thread to help yourself out and what is needed to be done.

everyone got their own way of doing things.

would you be willing to sell those brackets? for retrofit? I currently have mine retrofitted as well with a bracket, but I've been wanting to go MLED route.

XB Bracket

Hello, were you able to create those brackets? I just got a 4th gen 06+ and put the XB fogs on my 5th gen, however I have some bright led fogs that came stock on my 5th gen and would want to put them on my 4th gen. As far as I'm concerned, both fogs are similar size and shape and should be the same bracket. Please let me know if I can get a pair of brackets as that would be a lifesaver.
