what size sunshade works best?
I'm not going to spring for a custom fit, but I'd like to narrow it down as close as I can.

maybe save up your cardboard boxes and then cut it out to size? that should be cheaper than spending 16 or 25 bucks at walmart.

I know you said you don't want a fitted one but my covercraft one fits very well and is nice and sturdy. Expensive, but worth it if you plan to keep the vehicle. I have one for both my 3rd and 4th gen.

I have my dashcam mounted pretty much dead center behind the rearview mirror. I've thought about getting a sunshade but didn't know how well it would work with that. Is it pretty simple to just cut out part of it to accommodate the dashcam? Thanks

My covercraft sunshades don't interfere with the dash cam on either of my 4Runners. They're both mounted right behind the mirror as well.

x3. Been using a cover craft for the last couple of months and love it. Gotta save that dash from cracking! That's primarily why I bought it.

another vote for cover craft. Ran it with my dash cam mounted tight to the mirror with no issues. 3rd vehicle with a cover craft sun shade.
