I THINK you could drive it with one arm for a while, BUT I would keep trying to find someone to weld on another bracket. You might have to drive an hour or two to find someone, but I would definitely get it replaced.
If worse came to worse, you could remove the axle assembly and take it to someone who may be comfortable doing it off vehicle.
Call your dealer and ask them to refer you to someone. What would they do if they had such a problem?
