Fix to use LED fog lights instead of halogen?

My LED fogs stopped working so I replaced them with 9006 halogens and those work fine.
I assume the lower amperage of the LEDs is the issue. Is there a simple dix to use the LEDs?
I also read here that halogens should be used in fog lights because of their lumen advantage over LEDs. Is that true?

Or are the bulbs simply dead? Maybe plug one into the headlight connector and see if it turns on.

LED bulb quality is all over the place, and without knowing what you were running it could simply have had some component die internally.

In any light designed for use with halogen bulbs, you should generally stick with halogens. Most of the aftermarket drop-in LED bulbs - when slapped into housings designed for halogens - are a downgrade in performance. (No matter what the marketing hype says.)

Now, if you change over your whole housing with something designed from the ground up as an LED light, that's a totally different story. I swapped out the OEM LED fogs in my 2021 T4R for Diode Dynamics SS3 Max fogs and the difference is truly staggering.

I second this. Where did you get your Led foglight bulbs?

I bought the fog LEDs, and all of the other LEDs that I converted from halogen, from Amazon.
I didn't think to plug the fog LED into the headlight socket to check function, duh! That's why I'm not a professional mechanic!
If the fog LEDs are indeed bad, it's too late to return them. I believe they were about $30 for the pair.
Thanks for all of your assistance!

check your polarity on the plugs, the stock plugs are reverse polarity, you can get lucky if you aftermarket bulbs lets you flip it around.
