All gauges went out!
I went to work 3 days ago, all fine barring seeing my A/C temp set at 70...don't remember switching that.
2 days ago, I used the 12V on the console with key set to acc to run an air compressor due to TPMS warning.
Didn't drive yesterday.
Today, I notice all gauges don't move and the odo is blank. After work upon start-up, the tach and speedo gauges moved a small bit, but stayed there and the odo came back on but didn't register gaining mileage.
Battery terminals are clean. The grounds that I could find are clean.
I've searched, but didn't see anything where the above happened. Seems like others have had one or two gauges go out.
Any ideas or hints before I take out the cluster? I've read Tanin Auto Electronix does repair these. Anyone have a review they'd like to share?
Thank you.

a bad alternator will cause the same issue, check that out too. but use a voltmeter to confirm the voltage output. also alternator can read the correct voltage, but wont have the amperage. this causes alot of fluctuating output also.

Just went to Autozone and they tested the alternator. Said it was working properly, but they just hooked up their tester to the battery and had the engine turned on. No load testing (head unit was already on, but wasn't asked to turn on lights).

i think they need to do amperage test.

I went to another Autozone and had them recheck. I had a bad battery which was replaced for free (don't know why it didn't show bad four days ago). Also asked about putting a load test on the alternator and was told with the new testing meters that its not necessary. I think I'll hit up Orielly's tomorrow morning to get another opinion. The cluster is still not working, though the odo has showed up and logging miles.

I ended up getting a unit from Tanin Auto Electronix. Everything is working fine now and the installation was pretty easy with the help of YouTube video detailing our cluster removal.
Side note: Do NOT use Griot's glass cleaner on the clear plastic. I didn't read the fine print and it ruined the one Tanin sent. I used my original which was in perfect condition and am VERY glad I didn't try and clean both at the same time!
So nice to have the gauges back!
