Cool 4wd Selector Center Console Replacement

Good morning all
I had the recent misfortune of having to drop my car off at a shop for power steering repair and for some reason they decided to shift my 4wd selector on their post repair test drive

Anyway long story short they broke the selector somehow and are refusing to repair it. So I have ordered one on eBay and should have it within the next couple days

In preparation for replacement I had a few questions. I am familiar with taking apart the dash as I had to do this to install my navigation head unit.

How difficult is it to remove the old selector once I have removed the center bezel and put a new one in? Are there a few tabs I have to pry out? Any screws that have to be removed before the old selector will come out?

Thank you for your help!

"I just replaced some bulbs in my 2004 4WD Sport and wanted to add a little info since it's hard to find on line. The rear gate switch and 4WD selector switch are both illuminated on mine. Remove the AC control unit and then the other two can be accessed through the opening. I found it easiest to disconnect the electrical connectors for both first then squeeze the clips on the sides of the rear window switch to pop it out through the opening. The 4WD selector is more difficult since it has 3 clips, one at 6 o'clock and the other two at 10:30 and 1:30. I won't come out unless you get all three. The 4WD bulb is 90010-01084 and the rear window 90010-01088. I took some pictures but can't post them since it looks like they need to be hosted on line.

^^I found this on another thread in regards to light replacement, so there are 3 clips that need to be pryed open and no screws? Would appreciate if anyone has experience with this. Thank you!

For the future if anyone needs to this
There are three clips that it is held in on the back that need to be compressed to pop out the selector
The whole dash doesn't need to be taken apart. Just to the point where the HVAC controls are out of the way
The description in the above quoted post is exactly where the tabs/clips are at

10 minute job total
