Leveled her this weekend
I used a 2" leveling spacer up front this weekend (1" thick exactly) and I'm happy with the results.
Not my pic, but gives you the idea before:
After:
Steps WITHOUT XREAS:
1. Undo the 2 19mm bolts for the balljoint (on the bottom of the knuckle assembly),
2. Undo the 19mm bolt at the bottom of the shock and remove.
3. Remove the 3 14mm bolts at the top of the strut assembly.
4. If you cannot move the lower control arm (A-Arm) down, MARK ECCENTRIC BOLT POSITION, THEN loosen the eccentric bolts slightly so you can pull it out of the way. Others have used a bottle jack here.
5. Place spacer in and mount to top of strut assembly
6. Reassembly is reverse of taking apart.
NOTE: You may want a jack handy (or strong friend) as well to help align the bottom shock mount and holes for the balljoint when reassembling
Luckily all I needed was a 21mm (lugs),19mm, 14mm, and 15mm (new spacer bolts were 15mm). It's an ebay billet spacer (only one I could find in 2"). A 1.5 would not have been enough and the 2.5" daystar would have been too much on this one. Install only takes about an hour once you figure out all this
You just wouldn't imagine it's this nice not staring at the ground the whole time you're driving. Feels much more truck-like
Here's the instructions for XREAS: http://www.toyota120.com/forum/showt...t+instructions
The running board tops sit at 15 3/4 in back and 15 5/8 up front now.

So you have no lift, just raised the front?

Looks good! It looks like installed the leveling kit and painted it blue Your grey really picked the sky in the second photo.

Looks good! My new tires make it feel like I just did a lift, but I still need to level it out... this might be just what I'm looking for!

Yeah, I'll be looking at some all terrains next. Looking at the general, bfg, or bridgestone mainly. For a road truck, it just has a better look to it with this stance. I really like the 2", but I had to get an ebay billet spacer. Worked like a charm though. I'd do it again.
Lol, I took the second photo. I cheated and found a good side pic online of a stock one for the first pic.

I hate when you guys post this stuff... One more thing on the wanna do list!
Looks great and since I'm still a newbie round these parts, where is the spacer from? And I assume this does not change the alignment?

You will be cambered in when you do this as it does change it slightly. It's an ebay special spacer. No one around made a 2" that i could find. It's just a piece of billet aluminum though, nothing special or I'd look for a brand name one. I had it aligned today but it wasn't far out anyways. Like I said I had to loosen the eccentric bolts on the base of the lower A arm. You should mark those with a sharpie before you loosen the bolts. If you do this the alignment won't be too far off.

The 2.5 may be too much. Add 2" to the search and you'll see mine.

Your alignment might not *look* far off, but it is and it will eat tires pretty bad if you didn't get it aligned.
I can't stand the rake in the front these 4Runners seem to come with which is why I did the same 2" spacer in the front and nothing in the rear along with some 265/70 Terra Grapplers.
Looks like it should have came that way from the factory.

I like the terra grapplers but hear they didn't last long. How do you like them?
I got it aligned today. wasn't far off, but it was out.

I know that this may not seem like much of a lift to many folks on the forum, but just adding 265/70's made my 4Runner seem bigger and adding 2" of height makes it seem huge! I was playing with my floor jack and raised the front to see what it would be like. For me, this is just perfect... more aggressive than stock, still smooth and comfortable, and more than enough for camping adventures.
