Where are the "foot lights" that I found on the EWD?
I have a Sports edition so maybe I don't have these lights?
I'm trying to figure out what's causing my dome light fuse to blow.
- disconnected all door lights
- " both dome lights
- " both visor lights
This has been a random issue and I don't think it's in the lighting circuit. Let me disconnect the factory alarm to see if that does anything. The only other thing the dome light fuse supplies power is the HVAC control panel. The clock, and mpg are resetting to zero after turning off the engine each time.

Your Body EDC and Skid Control ECU also run of that 10A Dome Fuse. You could have a short there too.
I'm not sure if all cars come pre-wired ready for courtesy lights. I think only Limited gets those.

Interesting info, thanks for that. I overlooked those systems being fed by the same dome light fuse. My traction control works normally so that system is ok but let me see what's up with the body EDC. That dome light fuse serves a lot of circuit, like cruise control, engine control, tail light, power window, VSC, air conditioning, etc., and yet, they all work normally minus couple of things.
This is interesting!

Have you repaired or modified anything recently? Wiring issues don't usually happen at random.
Do you have rats under your hood at any time?

Since you have the wiring schematic unplug each system one at a time, till the fuse stops blowing. that should narrow down what item is causing the issue. Does it happen when you open the door. If so you might have a bad door jamb switch. GM s' were famous for this.

Yeah, I've done that to no avail but I haven't unplugged the rear tailgate harness because I need to open it quite frequently.
All door switches are negative switched and there's no way for them to short to positive from what I've seen. I mean, it's a stupid spring and a metal tab, LOL!!
The fuse won't blow for weeks or days then it'll blow quickly. I've been using a resettable 10am fuse to play with diff circuits. I tried unplugging all door switch/window switches, removed light bulbs and couldn't get the stupid fuse to blow.
On another day, I put the same resettable fuse in the fuse holder and BOOM, it tripped. So, it's been a challenging journey for the last two years or so. I'm not going to keep the resettable fuse in there full time, just for troubleshooting purposes.

The answer is yes to both! I haven't had mice under the hood since I"ve installed those blinky/ultrasonic thigns under the hood.
The only "mod" i've done is to add a tiny LED strip on the upper tailgate for additional lighting. I've since unplugged it and I still have random fuse blowing.
That dome light fuse serves a lot of systems, from what you can see up above. Thankfully, I only lost the remote lock/unlock, fuel econ meter and of course, the dome lights so far, knock on wood. Everything else is workign swimmingly.
Maybe I'll unplug the alarm box, which I think is under the seat and see if that improves things.
