There are way more knowledgeable people on here.
If @BlackWorksInc is still around, he may be able to point you in the right direction.
Sorry I'm not much help and good luck.
Unfortunately the transmission wiring harness is done! =[

OP, what state are you in?

Would you be interested in selling this for parts? Assume you’re in the rust belt somewhere.

I know the transmission harness seems daunting but it really isn’t. Neither is dropping the pan. You are going to need a solenoid harness and Toyota replacement pins.

I used this page as a guide: Preventative Maintenance 2006 DC 4.7 A750E P0986 & P2716 Transmission Problem | Toyota Tundra Forums

If you can solder you can do this. I ended up depinning and splicing 3 wires. It’s possible you might need to do a couple more based on your image. Let me know if you need any clarifications or have questions. I did mine (v6) at 175 and it just hit 200k with no issue.

Just want to let every one know 4runner lives to see another day. it was brutal. cut the floor board cuz doing this on the floor with barely an access . it was hard enough to do it from above...

basically followed a few videos out there. I saw someones youtube video where you can cut the floor board.

transmission harness going to the ecu had so many wires that just snapped when you touched it.

so i just cut the wires bought new transmission harness on amazon, and but splice + heat shrink wire and wired it up

I use 23 pin nails from my nailing gun and drowned it fluid film and hoped it worked. if someone in the future is reading this, you can full set the pin in and just shy of flush snip it. should be more than enough to make up contact.

it takes several tries to get it right. . but eventually you will get no codes.

its also a mother lover to get disconnected the first time.
