2006 SR5 no crank no start

2006 4Runner. Suddenly shut down while idling. Strong sweet burnt smell. Will not turn over,no click ,no warning lights. History. Submerged up to dash level for 30 minutes.New battery,ECU,fuel pump, throttle position sensor, starter, all fluids exchanged.Altenator appears to charge battery by increasing voltage from 12.64 to 13.54 with load. It was just running fine and quit. Burnt smell and no start. Appreciate any and all thoughts as I am stumped. .

you really have no choice but to start unplugging, cleaning, and drying things one by one until you find the one thats damaged. components are on both sides of the vehicle and it could be anywhere. from the burnt smile, you definitely fried something important. gonna have alot of work for that nose of yours to find this...

Thanks. Rechecked new starter and it had brown molasses like goo leaking out of hole. Replaced under warranty and it fired up with a buzzing sound.
Going to replace ignition switch. It starts in the on position and I think after tearing apart and cleaning, that the bad switch is sending constant power to starter solenoid which is blowing the 30 amp fuse. I can replicate problem. Hope switch is the culprit. Only items left to check are neutral safety switch and ECU(new). Thanks for your response.
