Smile Abs

So all my lights came on VCS, engine light etc. They're all on and they stay on mechanic said codes are throwing out that all speed sensors are bad which he doesn't Believe is the case. Replaced the O2 sensor which didn't do anything so he's thinking it is the ABS control module but he doesn't know because he can't get a clear answer. Any ideas?????

Pretty sad that's all the mechanic said. I have a cheap-ish Foxwell that will tell me what the speed sensors are doing so don't see why a mechanic shouldn't be able to do that. The codes set by the computer are needed or you are just gonna waste time & money.

toyota diagnosed my issue being a faulty ABS control module (mounted on the master cylinder brake booster). i have all my vac type lights on, but never check engine. i also constantly have my brake lights on when the car is running.

most likely am going to buy a used complete brake booster unit and have it installed. new ones are about $1200 discounted, used about $500. i have a long thread about this problem.

Hi rayray61,

My 2012 L.E. is eleven yrs old now; but still has only 27,830 Miles on the clock... using a Com'l/Indus'l HVAC Service vehicle for work over the years! But, my L.E. has had it's share of DTC Codes thrown across the Instrument-Cluster ...many, many times! The trouble: Yaw-Rate Acceleration Calibration & Center Point Steering Calibration issues; ...these problems came with the truck when I purchased it!

And like you said, the Instrument-Cluster lites-up like a new years-eve Celebration Tree; just w/o a Check-Engine light! I don't believe you lost ALL of your Speed-Sensors for one minute! The way I calibrated the sensors requires NO Scan-Tool(s)! Just two pins to jump two ports in the OBD-ll, #4 & #12 ...See link Below:

Yaw Rate and Acceleration Sensor Zero Point Calibration

Follow these instructions EXACTLY as @iDRiVaT4R has guided, and I think your troubles will be... GONE! Thank you iDrivaT4R for this FANTASTIC POST!!!

~rig~ Best to you!
