Tire size question

Got a 2007 4runner Sport with Toytec 3" lift and Bulstein 5100s. Currently have stock wheels and tires. Tires are due for replacing. What is the largest tire I can run on the stock wheels. Would like to go with 285/70/17 but worried they won't work on the stock 17" wheels. Can't afford to replace the wheels at this time. Any info is appreciated.

either way to get your alignment back to spec your gonna need aftermarket upper control arms, also depends on the offset of your wheels. from researching myself, pretty sure if you have issues with fitting you just chop the body mount and trim the liner.

285s will work on the stock wheels. The tires rubbing your upper control arms with the stock offset will be another issue.

You will more than likely need to run wheel spacers or else your tires will rub on the UCA's. And then probably need to do some fender trimming on the front weather stripping as well.
