Thumbs down

Ac clutch is engaging without jumping but Freon is still not being taken into the system. Can of freon should get cold as it's going into the system and it's just not happening.

its likely a mechanical issue then...check the valve on the can that its dispensing and the valve on the car that it can accept inflow.

u can do this by depressing the thin stem inner core of the valves

I haven't done any A/C work on my 04 T4R but I've done it on a '91 Camry I had until a few years ago. That had a pressure switch that wouldn't engage the compressor if the R134 was too low. If you kept it connected, eventually the compressor would kick in and it would take the refrigerant.

I had problems with the attachment not connecting well to the low pressure port. I had to hold it tight against the connection and eventually it would start drawing it in. It was just a cheap device but it got the job done once I figured out the issue. Try pushing the connector tight against the connection on the low side port.

I will also add that the low pressure Schrader valve was replaced a few years back when I had a shop recharge the system.
