Tires heat up on longer trips and is probably affecting the sensors, particularly if they are old. Sometimes in the winter I will see a low tire but after I drive a couple miles the light goes off. Air expands when it gets warm. I guess your sensors are close to end of life.

The DENSO sensors that came with my 2004 T4R were still good until last year. One died and another's battery was very weak. The other 3 were OK on the battery. The dealership wanted too much money to put in new Densos so I bought 5 off Amazon and a sensor reader. I paid the local tire guy to install them for me then used the reader to write them into the computer. The reader checks battery voltage, pressure and tire temperature as well as the sensor's manufacturer and sensor ID

My dealership wanted $400/tire, $2,000 to replace all 5 sensors on my 2004. When I got the sensor reader it said they were Denso sensors and that's what I got from Amazon, about $33 each. When I asked at the Tire stores they wanted to put in their own sensors, said they didn't have the software to write the new IDs into the ECU. The ones that came out of the tires were identical to the ones I got on Amazon, other than the IDs. Now I can just point the reader at each tire and find any that are low on air or battery.

Factory Tire Sensors

I just picked up (4) Factory OEM Sensor for my 2006 SR5 4x4 V6 off Ebay for $48.00 plus shipping. I wasn't going to do the generic ones from all the horror stories i heard with them.

just my 2 cents worth

If you got 4 "OEM" (Denso) sensors for $48, I afraid you bought counterfeit Denso sensors, there's no way you got 4 genuine Denso sensors for $48.

Ebay is full of "OEM" parts that are unfortunately counterfeits, the price is telling sign of that!!

Rockauto sells genuine Denso sensors for $35.79 and you won't find them much if any cheaper anywhere, if you pay somewhere close to that from a reputable supplier then you are going to get the real deal, so if you would of paid another $100+/- plus that $48 from a reputable seller then I would feel good about knowing I more than likely got the real sensors!!

Hopefully the ones you got will work for you, but I would not be surprise if they start giving you trouble at some point.
