07 sr5 4.8L driver's side coolant leak

I recently (last week) noticed a coolant smell while driving.
Friday after work I came out to a puddle under the truck about the size of a serving tray.
I limped the truck home. Temp did not fluctuate at all, stayed dead center of the gauge.
No coolant in the overflow reservoir. I couldn't see the coolant in the rad when I cracked the cap.

I let the truck sit over the weekend.

Sunday afternoon there was a dinner plate sized puddle under the truck.
I pulled the shield and tried to locate the leak.
I followed it up , driver's side over the oil filter tree and lost it.
That's water pump territory, no?

Timing belt was done at 105k. Truck currently has 177k.
I don't know if the previous owner used genuine Toyota parts.
Any advice? New timing job?

Pics are from Sunday with the truck sitting unused for a week.

I can't for some reason view your photos, it's something to do with igmur, I have to scroll down to view the photo/s, but every time I start scrolling the whole page goes blank, not sure if it's something on my end or just that site, but it happen every time I go there to view someone's photo/s.

That being said, if it is indeed your waterpump gone bad it's buried behind the timing belt cover...but the coolant WILL deteriorate the timing belt and could cause it to break, which WILL do fatal damage to the engine, i.e. valves hitting pistons.

There's member on here that replaced his timing belt but didn't replace the waterpump because it was leaking, at some point it did start leaking and around 30,000 after replacing the belt the timing belt eventually broke and he had to replace his engine.

So if I were you since it's not all that far from needing to replace the timing belt, I would go ahead and do it just for peace of mind, IMHO.

Now that also being said, around the thermostat housing is another place that tends to leak, did you check around it for the pink coolant "crystallization" ?

I was afraid of that.
No residue around the thermostat I can see.
Looks like the previous owner has the green coolant in it.
Stealership gave me the estimate for 1550. I'm currently looking for someone local to go ahead with a timing job/water pump replacement.

Last timing belt job I did was on an ex's mitsushitti and I ended up shearing a bolt on a tensioner. Not gonna do that again. I hate to do it, but looking like throwing money at this problem is best.
Thanks for the replies!

You should be able to get it done for about half of that quote, I would also get the coolant system flushed and use the correct SLL coolant, either from Toyota or a good aftermarket Asian formula coolant, if the garage will let you supply your own parts you could save a little money....BUT the garage will most likely not provide the warranty for the parts, either way make sure you get or they use the Aisin TKT021 set, all the parts are made by OE suppliers to Toyota including the belt, so you're getting all OEM parts, they just don't have "Toyota" labeling, it has all the parts you need except a new
thermostat...here's a link to all the sets on Rockauto, just scroll down until you see the Aisin TKT021 set...., don't get the Aisin TKT001 set, it doesn't have a new hydraulic tensioner.
