Rust starting around rear hatch window...

Hello. I noticed some bubbling starting in the paint on the top of my rear window a few months ago. It is spreading fast. I would like to eliminate or stop it.

What are my options to do so? If it needs to be a body shop, I am not concerned about spraying the whole hatch as opposed to them just doing a spot repair.

Thoughts?

Yep, thatll happen

so you could either go body shop or do it yourself in a weekend

Youll want to remove the weather stripping and sand down any areas that you see rust. At this point doesnt look like youll need body filler.

Id recommend a rust converter to apply after you sand it down. Probably will work better with the paint if you use a gray like corroseal as opposed to a black one like rustoleum rust converter

Youll then have to paint and blend.

May need to be touched up from time to time
