When to replace brake and PS Fluids and Serpentine Belt

So, my dealer is stating I should flush and replace brake and power steering fluid. It has been 27 months, but only 18000 miles put on my 03 4Runner V8 Sport 4x4 since last flush and replace. Should I do it or can I wait? The brake fluid looks clean and the PS fluid a bit darker.

And....my serpentine belt has 32k miles on it. Looks good to me but the dealer is saying to replace it as they think it looks glazed. Function is fine. No issues. Shouldn't these last up to around 90k miles?!

Thank you!

Brake fluid every 2-3 years, P/S fluid drain and refill reservoir every oil change with fresh ATF. Suction the reservoir dry with some type of syringe or whatever. You can do it 2-3times at home over a week or so and it will be good as it gets, then do it every oil change. Thats, IMO.

This sounds like the dealer hoping to rake in some easy money. But the only way to know for sure is to have an independent shop check it.

Thank you!

I'm going to go for the PS and Brake Fluid flushes and replacement. I'll just purchase a new serpentine belt and keep in the 4Runner in case of need. It's a fairly easy job that they want to charge $270 for labor!

PS....also having them do the transfer case actuator O-ring and shaft seals. Leaking a bit and its a good time to get it done. Got 20 years out of them!
