Supra MK4 steering wheel on 4th gen 4Runner?

Toyota Supra MK4 3-spoke steering wheel OEM black stitching.

Would these fit on the 4th gen V8 4Runner?

Physically I bet it would fit but you might have to cross reference and re-pin the harness to make the cruise/headlight/windshield washer switches work, not all of those are interchangeable so you may need to use Supra parts for that. FWIW, I put a late 2nd/3rd gen Tacoma/5th gen 4runner/2016+ Tundra steering wheel in my 07 4runner and successfully put a Celica/Rav4 wheel very similar to the Supra one in my 2001 Tacoma.

Was the 5th Gen steering wheel plug and play? Is it thicker than 4th Gen?

Not plug and play but I was able to cross reference and re-pin everything to get stock functionality. Plus I have the benefit of being able to use the right side buttons for things as well, if I want. I can't remember if its thicker than stock but probably similar. I stitched a leather wrap over mine so its definitely thicker than stock now. 100% updated the interior looks as well

IF you are simply looking for a thicker steering wheel the sport wrap works for that. I put them on all mine.

I wouldn't go through the trouble of swapping the supra wheel to a t4r. I own a MKIV and I can tell you the wheel is not a big-rig wheel. It's too sporty.

If you want a thicker, beefier look, I would honestly just get new leather from something like east detailing and spend a couple of hours to get the stitching and placement good. I spent like $60 bucks or whatever it was and did an hour install, could have done a better job but it cleaned up the look significantly and added quite a bit of thickness. It's honestly been one of my favorite, least expensive and most usable upgrades I've done to my rig lol
