'08 T4R Limited V8 - Slight Ticking Noise from AC

Hi All-
At ~131k miles I just started to notice a constant ticking noise when I run the AC fan in my vehicle. The noise is constant despite the speed of the fan. It ceases whenever I change the flow path, that is when I select the floor or the defrost mode the sound goes away. However, when it's blowing through the dash vents the noise is there. I'd suspect something in the fan but for the fact that the fan speed does not affect the ticking noise. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

One of the blend door actuators. They are notorious for doing this as they get older. Search the forums and there is at least one thread that goes over the issue and how to remove and repair the actuators. They don't always need replaced and it is something you should consider doing yourself to save money.

I have at least one in my 2003 that has done this for ages and it really doesn't seem to affect the AC operation. It's more of a slight annoyance than anything but i do need to fix it sometime.
