Fuel door hinge pin

Has anyone experienced a broken fuel door hinge pin being broken.
And if so how did you fix it?
I have my own ideas but just want some input.
Per Toyota you need to take the door off, but that still wont really help.

Pretty common issue on Siennas, including mine, but haven't seen it here yet. Maybe look at some of the Sienna repair videos on YT to see if it's a similar issue?

I looked at YT and saw some videos and got a pretty good idea of what to do.
As a aircraft mechanic I have access to a lot of materials so I will use some stainless steel pin/rod and fix it.

Pretty sure you can just order a new rivet for a few bucks and use your favorite rivet tool to install. I just did a rough search for a fuel door rivet multiple Toyota dealers popped up under $3 good luck.

I don't recall what my 4runner looks like as I've never had an issue with it but if it's like the rivet on my Sienna you would need a big rivet gun. I plan on using nuts and bolts when I repair the van.

IIRC it’s a 1/4” rivet

Well, I got some stainless-steel rod from work and finagled it in without drilling the rivets out.
Ethier way it is done but if you drill the rivets out you still have to remove the pin and is not easy cutting it was just as easy for me, I used basically a Dremel tool to cut it but my new pin does not go into the holder position, but it will not come out.
