Whats the latest on suspension?

Story Time
Been hearing a clunking, loose washer sound from my front end when going over bumps. Tracked it down to my front coils. Both coils cracked near the perch

Current kit is the Toyota TRD Pro Suspension setup (6112/5160) setup w/ 85k miles. Installed back in 2018.

Bit shocked at the complete failure and feeling fortunate I caught this before something more catastrophic. Car is grounded till I get a new kit in.

Suspension Options
I'm looking for what I'll call "mid-tier" options. More than the Bilstein 5100's, less than racing setups from Kings/Fox. Priority is reliability and low maintenance.

Black Friday Deals I've found
  • Bilstein 6112/5160: First choice that comes to mind given it's what I have. $1.9k
  • Dobinson IMS: $1.7k
  • Ironman Foam Cell Pro: $1.6k

Prices are basically the same, so not a point of comparison for me.

Leaning towards the Iron Man Foam Cell Pros. Am I missing any other options? Which one would you pick? Driving is mostly on paved roads, with a fair amount of rough Utah, Colorado, and California backroads.

Pics of carnage:

I've got Dobinson's IMS on order and going to pair with the existing FJ springs I have on there now. I've got the Bil 4600 now, but looking for a less harsh ride.

Still leaning towards Ironmans, but Dobinsons are a close second. They're backordered right now which isn't ideal...

How did you land on the Dobinsons?

Watched some youtube videos on shock comparisons and comments from users on this site. Only thing I don't like about them without having owned them is the threaded body full length on fronts, but since I don't off road probably no big deal. Yes, on back ordered, mine not scheduled until January, but winter is here so April install is fine with me. Keep us posted on your experience with IM.

Great choice!! I've had my stage 2 ironman foam cell pro kit for 3 years and no issues at all!!! A lot of people sleep on Ironman, I've had Dobinson, icon, fox, OME, on a few of my rigs throughout the year and Ironman is definitely a competitor! You wont be disappointed.

Yes! That's great news. Dobinson was a close second for me, but they're currently backordered for who knows how long. I need something now.

Lots of rave reviews of Ironman. Have read some people who had quality issues, but a less of a concern given the 4 year unlimited mile warranty.
