Up on jacks and running, cannot rotate Right wheels by hand

hello,

With my 4Runner up on jackstands, no matter what drive mode it is in (2 wheel drive, 4 wheel drive, locked, unlocked, reverse, etc.), only the Lefts wheels rotate.

The Right wheels remain NOT rotating AND I cannot rotate either Right wheel by hand.

Although it is common to see only 2 wheels on one side rotate while in 4-wheel drive mode, I am surprised the Right side wheels cannot be rotated by hand.

Why are the Right side wheels unable to be rotated by hand? Shouldn't they spin freely by hand?

The only thing I did recently was rotate wheels front to back and back to front for more even tire wear. Until I did this, all 4 wheels rotated while in 4 wheel drive mode.

The jack stands are not touching the wheels.

Are the Right side wheels locked for some reason? Why?

Any help in explaning this situationo is much appreciated.

Most likely a seized caliper. Take the caliper off the brake rotor on the right side and see if you can spin the hub by hand.

Drive up the block. Are the wheels hot? Stuck brake caliper.. rears is stuck emergency brake shoes. Lube up the brake cables then never use the ebrake again for the rear. New caliper from AutoZone in front.

Wheels cannot be rotated in Park or Neutral.

The Parking Brake is not on.

Thank you to everyone who responded. I will take your suggestions on lubing the calipers and cables and try driving around to see if things loosen up.

Its just an odd coincidence that 2 wheels on the same side would lock up at the same time with no prior warning or symptoms.

I can see one wheel lock up and then another wheel lock up sometime later but 2 wheels lock up at the same time? Weird.

Easy to see if it's brake related or in the drivetrain. If brake it will not move at all and of course the wheels will get hot. If drivetrain, you would be able to rotate the wheel a bit because of the slight slop in the system.
