Wetness on carpet in rear corner near hatchback door

Hi,

I noticed the carpet is wet on the passenger side corner (only) near the rear hatchback (see picture). The metal underneath and corner tie down area does not appear to be wet. It did "bleed" wetness up to the shelf which I typically keep in the down position.

Any thoughts on where this could be coming from? The weather stripping at the rear hatchback door all appears to be in good shape. No wetness from the ceiling that I can see.

Thanks!

How's the horizontal weather strip at the bottom of the hatch window? That one has a tendency to rot away and allow excess water into the hatch which can spill inside. Also check the hatch drain points at the bottom of the door. The way it's setup, it really shouldn't get water that far in but water can be tricky.

Mine drips in from the top of the door/hatch, doesn't happen always and I haven't looked at it yet, maybe the weather stripping?

I've had a leak for years and thought it was coming from the bolts that hold the roof rack on so I used silicone on those bolts. It helped a lot, but now I'm thinking the moon roof is leaking and the water runs down a channel in the roof to the rear. Sometimes see water spots on the inside of the passenger side rear window.

It leaks on the passenger side where yours does when the truck it parked uphill. The plastic pocket in the corner gets wet. When parked downhill there's a puddle on the drivers floor mat. I can hear water sloshing around overhead and maybe a drain tube is clogged from leaves/debris. Haven't taken the moon roof apart to investigate yet.
