Sport hood w/ scoop on a limited?

Hello All,

I'm wondering if a Sport Hood w/ a scoop will fit on the same year Limited. From everything I can see this can be done but i wanted to make sure before i ordered it. I have a '05 Limited but I love the look of the scoop, I have the ability to buy one primed and preped for $350.00 shipped.

Any advise is greatly appreciated...

My buddy has an 04 limited with a hood scoop. Looks better than stock, but I think hood scoop makes even a bigger diff on 06+ (after facelift)

$350 Shipped is not bad. But; + Paint + Installation will be a costly add on for something that has no function and is purely cosmetic and it won't be original paint. You can install it yourself, but Don't Forget, it is a 2 Man Job. Don't hurt yourself to save a few bucks..Def post pics when you do it

make sure its an OEM hood, since some knock offs dont fit right, & the cost of paint will most likely cost another 400+, so should come to close to a grand. id check how much a shop will charge to paint before i bought the hood. the scoop is cool tho.

The hood is a OEM Toyota, as for the price of paint it is going to cost me only 400 and that is for them to instal it too. This is only because im getting other work done on the front end due to my Dad at Xmas backing into my t4r and putting a hole in the front bumper with his reciever. So im getting insurance work done too and that will lower my overall cost because they will already be painting a new bumper.

I dont take it in till the end of March so I'll post pictures then. I'd like to get through winter and salt riad driving before i paint the front!

Good point Chaz. Non OEM fitments can be a pain when it comes to fit and finish. Def check prices on Paint. paint is one of those things that will almost always give you what you pay for. Good Paint Jobs are costly and you don't wanna cut corners on a piece that sits on your hood.

Thanks for the info...I might do the HID headlights and Fogs at the same time...this will most likely be the last thing i do!

Im excited about the spring, I think with the hood, lights, maybe some new wheels and tires (Chrome Toyota 18's), rear air bags and a leveling kit she should be looking good with a trailer full of Dirt Bikes behind her!

sounds like a deal to me. As long as it is OEM hood it won't be too expensive to have it painted being that it will require no fitting to the truck. Post up some pics when you get her together

I just bought the hood for 350.00 and should be delivered to the shop for additional prep and paint by Monday. My front bumoer, both OEM arrived today and should be painted with the hood. I should be in to the hood for about 700.00 with everything but I am getting insurance work done too.

I also just picked up a pair of 08 Limited wheels (18's) for $500 and will send them out to get chromed next week. A company in Fort Wayne IN guarantees them for the life of the wheel or rechroming is free!

I'll put pictures up when I'm done!

Im going out to enjoy the snow on the quad!
