Roof rails - can anyone help a limey out?

Hi guys,

I ordered some aftermarket roof rails (The ones that run front to back) for my 2008, and they are too short. I assume they are for the 5th gen although the listing said 2005-2020.

I haven't managed to find anything online that fits. It's like the 4th gen doesn't exist. How common are they in the scrap yards over there?

Would anyone be able to send me the rails and brackets if I pre-pay you for them and of course some extra for your time and effort? I need a roof rack for work.

Or if anyone has any other ideas, I would love to see them!

There are numerous aftermarket roof racks out there.

I can't find anything in the UK that says it will fit a 4th gen unfortunately. Shipping a whole rack from abroad could be quite expensive, I am already bracing myself for shipping costs for just the rails if anyone has some they aren't using!

The original rails on my previous one were fine, I have some Thule cross bars I removed while it was the recovery compound.

OEM crossbars? Have USA friend ship via:

transglobalexpress.co.uk

They use DHL system and are less expensive than UPS, Fedex, USPS, and DHL themselves. Ship time using economy service is surprisingly fast. I've had large packages arrive in UK in less than one week and that includes clearing customs.

Thanks for the link, that's really helpful! I just need a USA friend now.

I pulled my roof rack off my 2005 to put on a Victory Rack. Could probably ship them, but I have no clue what it would cost. You don't need the cross bars, is that correct? I don't have the plastic covers for the mounting points as a couple of them were broken in the process.

I just pulled mine off to put on a Victory rack and they are sitting in my driveway. You just need side rails, right? I may still have the bolts, but I'm not sure. I don't have the plastic covers for the mounting points as I broke a couple in getting them off.

They're yours if you can figure out shipping. I can probably find a box to put them in.

That's right, I just need the longer 4th gen front to back rails - I think the aftermarket brackets I have will fit them as the triangular looking shape looks like what I had on my previous 2007.

See my link to Trans Global Express above. Package pickup is through DHL. Packages can also be dropped off at DHL location. Payment is through paypal. Customs declaration template is available at TG Express website. You will have to locate commodities code here:

Parts and accessories of the motor vehicles of headings 8701 to 8705 - UK Integrated Online Tariff - GOV.UK

There are some moving parts to this. I think our UK friend deserves our assistance because he has offered a gratuity. Personally, I always help people at the junkyard who offer money for my help. I never take the money but sometimes I get a greasy lunch off the taco truck, lol.

Thank you - you guys will really get me out a hole if we can sort this out.

Here are some pics I took for the eBay dispute...I have no idea why Toyota changed the length.

You have to "check" a box for saving sent messages, otherwise they don't save to your sent folder.
