Hey, about that timing chain tensioner, yeah, it does look a bit worn, but that doesn't automatically mean the chain is stretched out. Before jumping to replace the chain, I'd suggest doing a compression test and giving the engine a good once-over. That should give us a better idea of what's going on and whether there are any timing issues.
And while you're at it, make sure to check out other parts connected to the timing system for any signs of wear or damage too.
