Old Question, New Owner: 13.2 or 12.6 Rotor Size?

I have 2003 Limited. Does this mean my rotors are 13.2"? Or is looking for the caliper cast number the best way? Found these posts on the web.

Quote:
From experience up until now...

All 4runner than are sr5 have 12.8" front rotors
All sports trim and limited trim have 13.3" front rotors
The rear are the same for both.

Usually if you have x-reas suspensions it will most likely be 13.3"

Another way to tell is. If your vehicle came with 16" wheels it is 12.8"

And last but not least, check your Vin number with the dealer to have them tell you what size your rotor is.

Quote:
On the inside of the OEM calipers there is a 13** model # that will indicate the proper size rotors for your 4Runner.

13WH- 13.3"/338mm rotor diameter

13WL- 12.6"/319mm rotor diameter

13WG- 12.6"/319mm rotor diameter

I found the best way to be sure which size you have is with a good old tape measure!

That's the way I checked mine because the calipers on mine had been replaced at some point with aftermarket calipers and they don't have casting numbers that match anything that's on OEM calipers.

I too, have an '03 Limited that I bought used about 10 years ago and when I went to service the brakes I found I had the smaller rotors on front to my surprise. I upgraded to the larger just because.

That would be definitive. I'm trying to brain power this one before going manual mode.

Yours is a V8 and should have the 13.2 rotors. I have V6. Does your build sheet show 12.6? Where can I find build sheet for mine?

I never bothered to check into it. I had ordered Stop Tech rotors/large diameter, but when I went to install, the calipers wouldn't fit, so bought the correct NAPA calipers and proceeded.

I crawled under the truck without jacking (which is nice) and found 13WG calipers. I have 12.6" rotors. When I go to the junkyard, I will take a tape measure in case calipers are aftermarket with no stamping.

I'm sort of interested in the bigger brake swap but I don't have any complaints with what I have.
