Question with auto off headlights

I don't remember that my 4R had this equipped when I bought it. One time, during the night, I turned on my headlights after turning off the engine for a while and left them on...then after about 10-20 seconds, the headlights turned off automatically.

I suppose all 03 (and newer) models have auto off headlights?

(PS. I know that auto ON/off headlights is an extra option found on Limited models).

Correct, they shut off 30 seconds after you open the driver's door. The delay can be programmed (0, 30, 60, 90, 120 seconds) with the OEM scan tool. If you turn them on without the engine running, then they will remain on for 30 minutes.

The Auto/On capability is a standard feature of the Limited model. It can be added to the SR5 or SE by adding the Limited dimmer switch, a light sensor, and 3 wires.
