Angry inconsiderate people!

:upset::upset::upset::upset:

I usually park pretty cautiously and now with my new runner I'm even more cautious than normal. So, I'm at work.. and I park in a spot where on my passenger side is a no parking spot and on my drivers side there's another parking space... so I hug the line on the passenger side 'cause no cars are to park there and this way my truck will be safe from door dings.
7 hours later... I get out of work early...
Son of a :cursin:! Some :cursin: is all squeeze up and parked in the non-parking spot RIGHT UP AGAINST MY TRUCK! :gun:
I was quite angry walking up to my truck. I went around on the passenger side and was like NO :cursin: WAY! There's no way this person opened it without hitting my truck! I look with my 'lil light on my keychain (it was dark, 1am) and OF COURSE there's a small (dime size) slice mark "|" and a 'lil buff type mark on my side fender. I KNEW it was from the car's door 'cause it was perfectly inline from where the door would open to ..and my truck was perfectly clean! So, to make sure it was the door and not just a random mark, I took a microfiber towel and wiped it gently.. the buff mark cleaned off but I saw a definite line of where the door hit. I spit on the driver's side window of the car and took down the plate and vehicle description so if I see this person ever I can give them a piece of my mind! He/she has to work there 'cause it's an employee only lot.
Freakin' people!!!!!!! ugggh!!! I hate inconsiderate people like that!
I know, I know, it's just a small mark and it'll buff out, but stilllll! it really angers me!!!
Sorry for the post, but it's 3:00am, I can't sleep, and I really needed to vent somehow!

p.s. I was bored, so I added some smilies.

I know exactly how you feel. Although with the 4runner, it aint as bad as owning a Honda (aka aluminum can). Hondas use paper thin sheet metal for their body panels and every little ding will cause a ripple or dent. Even people leaning up against the panels will blemish it. If you don't beleave me, take a look at the next Honda you see on the road. Look closely and you'll see all the dings and dents that I'm talking about. So be glad we own a truck that's alot more durable in so many ways.

I've already had a few brushes with the same inconciderate people, and they all buffed out. If it was a Honda, it'd be a different story.

Don't you hate it when you go way out of your way to park 16 miles away from everybody else and some jerk off has to park his POS right next to you.

I would have waited for this person to return to the vehicle and would give them a good piece of my mind and hope they had a problem with it!

Koz, I know, really! There's seriously a TON of parking spots closer than where I parked... actual spaces too! I probably should have waited! It was already 1am and I have classes on Tues. mornings and for all I knew that person could've just started their shift at 12a, 1a, or 2a... so I could've waited a while. I WILL be on the lookout for this person though, I gaurantee you that! My shifts change weekly, so it's only a matter of time before I see who it is. I might not park in that lot anymore. I might even park in the distant lot and take the shuttle bus to play it safe. The distant lot has wider parking spaces and a lot of good spots. I like parking on the ends so then I only have to worry about one side. It'll waste 10-20mins more a day, but it'd be worth it to keep my truck safe from morons. I'll probably just do that and then only use the closer lots when running on the late side.

I actually owned a Honda before my 4Runner. A 2006 Honda Civic EX Coupe. You're correct on how easily they marked up! I'm pretty sure they use cheaper paint and clearcoat.

Man, I would be pissed to hell and back. It's not that there wasn't real damange done, it's the fact that some fu%^&% was rude to park somewhere where they shouldn't.

I also have a 40K truck that I baby like crazy. I went to a department store one sunday morning and parked in the vary last spot 10 miles away from the store. Well wouldn't you know it, I look out and some POS car is right up against my truck. As I walked up closer to my truck, I can see a white mark on my door. Get even closer and there is a marking and missing paint in the side of my drivers door. My truck is black, so you could really see the marks. I was so pissed that I spit all over the other cars windows and I did kick the one door too, but you couldn't really tell because the POS car was so badly rusted and smashed up that no one would of noticed.

Now every time I wash my truck or just look at that marking on my door I think of that moment and get all fired up again. I also have a nice dent and mark on the side of the bed from some a$$ hole kid shooting a paint ball gun.

Next time leave a message on their windshield stating you have their plate number and recorded the damage done to your vehicle by their careless actions. Then leave a note stating that they may be contacted by the police and your insurance company regarding this incident. Maybe it will give them some incentive to be more careful next time.

I love it!

I'm more of an eye for an eye. The only problem is, its usually some pos. Try brake fluid, works wonders!

Usually if you wait for the people to come, 9 out of 10 times they dont give 2 sh*ts anyways. If they did they wouldn`t have parked there if the first place.

I`ll never park in a small/mini mall type parking area. I`d rather park on the street. If I have to park in a lot I go to the back and angle park it.

I feel your pain Donny. Next time hock up a good juicy luggy on their windshiled

I wish I could still park in the street. I used to always park in the street. The city installed meters again, so it's back to the lots. Oh, and I DID hock up a big juicy flemmy luggy on that window!!! It's the one time where my sinus issues benefited me, haha.

I've had someone park right up next to my Acura a few times and lean their doors agianst mine. I usually just took my door, and slammed it into their car and left a nice deep gash. To hell with the paint on the edge of my door lol. I've set off a couple car alarms I've smashed some doors so hard from *******s denting my car. Always makes me feel better. I've even confronted a few jerks that I caught in the act, they usually didnt care and were amazed why I was mad, they'd usually say "it's just a car!" or something to that effect. Yeah, a car I PAID FOR. Jerkoffs.

My son has a thing about this. He actually talks to people face to face when they hit his Mazda. He is polite and firm. Wakes people up. He has taught me a good deal about getting one's point across. I like the idea about a note on the window and call our insurance. My recent experience with the hood damage. This cost $800.00 to fix so a ding on a door can be costly. thanks for the idea.

That's actually not a bad idea... maybe I'll get some door edge guards put on and then I can just slam open my door a few times and see how THEY like it back.

I've actually toyed with the idea of keeping a few dog turds in a ziploc bag in each vehicle, and anyone I find has dented my car, take the turd, open the bag and use it like a glove, and smoosh the turd up under their driver door handle.

Gives you an idea how how much I loathe people who do not respect other's property. Especially since these re****s seem to be breeding on large scale and running rampant these days.....
