08 Sport Poly Swaybar Bushings

Couple questions regarding poly swaybar bushings for my 08 sport V6 4x4, can anyone with the same year sport confirm front & rear SB size? I measured mine with a cheap digital caliper and get 29.8 front & 19.6 rear, both bars have some rust & dirt on them to effect the reading but not that bad. Does that sound like 30mm front & 19 rear? Will try to measure again, didnt see any sizes stamped on sides of the current bushings so maybe they arent factory or in a different spot?

Also, do the prothane or energy suspension fronts fit the stock brackets or do they need the gold ones that come with certain kits? Same for the rear, can the stock brackets be reused with poly bushings? Will reuse stock brackets if possible.

Ive read a couple threads, most were older and links didnt work or older 03-05 4runners were mentioned for bushing sizes, some say stock brackets worked on front but not rear. Anyone with an 08 or even 06-09 sport done the bushing swap? Just trying to confirm these things before placing the order for the wrong parts, any help is appreciated.

I can't answer your questions on the sizes...but the questions about the brackets I would ask the manufacturer of the poly bushing you're considering ordering, they may even be able to answer about the sizes as well.

Thanks for the suggestion, I didnt have much luck with those questions at energy suspension, most the tech guys answering the phones just have basic info their computer shows... was hoping someone on here has done the poly SB bushing upgrade on an 08 or 06-09 V6 4x4 sport recently that could comment on sizes or if stock brackets will work.

there is a sway bar bushing thread, I forgot the size, but get the greaseable versions, otherwise you still need to remove the bracket and re-grease once in a while. use prothane grease, I did have to pay a about 80 for that tube.

I just received my front sway bar bushing today from Amazon, '07 V8 Sport. I just measured mine with an adjustable wrench that had some markings on it. 30mm.

Energy Suspension 9.5171G (1 3/16")

I think the general consensus was to measure your sway bar instead of just taking other people's word on size. I was about to order the 29mm based on these forums, but double checked myself.

Have you tried measuring with something else?

Yes I mentioned in the first post that I measured them with a digital caliper, got weird numbers but the little extra above 29mm & 19mm was probably from rust & paint, I will measure again after cleaning off a spot before ordering.

I will probably go with the prothane bushings since they are cheaper priced but get good reviews, I have lots of energy suspension grease from other cars I used their poly bushings on... have never greased the sway bar bushings on those cars since they dont really move like control arm bushings and never had a squeak or noise problem, I might put some grease on them but dont think I need the greasable ones... I will reuse the front brackets based on what I read on some other threads that said they fit OK on teh front but teh rear needed the new supplied brackets to fit the bushing right.

I have read the other long threads on here for this but most are older & links to parts are expired. Thanks again for the replies.
