2006 Limited Seat Heaters not working
Anyone have any idea about the seat heaters suddenly not working?
I specifically bought the Limited for the heated seats, I was off roading today in the El Dorado National forest in snow, the heated seats worked on the way up, but by the end of the day, no heated seats?
The LED that illuminates when they are on, shows they are on, but alsa, no warm butt.
And since I got stuck tonight in deep snow - and got soaking wet digging and hand winching out, I could have done with some creature comforts on the way home.
Just wondering if any of you gentle people have any ideas, or is it just back to the dealer?
No I have not checked any fuzes, its almost 10pm and I only just got home.
Joe

Broken fuse, wire,....element??? Need to do a process of elimination. Had an 02 Jeep GC Limited with heated seats. LED lights on switch would work, but no heat. Deep investigating revealed burnt out pad elements.

Hey Eric
No and Yes
I did not get in the passenger side and no passenger today. and yes I did crank it up to hot for the drive home from Pollok pines tonight. Froze my darn butt off.
No pics, but I tried to help a guy out with a pre-runner that was stuck, next thing I knew I was seriously stuck.
2 hours later of digging and hand winching we were both still stuck, although I did get out and got stuck again.
Had to flag some other chums down to help out.
thankfully it was an older full on off road toyota 4x4 that pulled us both out, I have it on video, but it will be awhile before I can load it someplace.
I look forward to meeting you next saturday
Joe

If its still under warranty, let the dealer worry about it! That 3/36 is a bumper to bumper.

It is probably a bad element. If it was a fuse, I don't think your switch would illuminate when it is turned on. Definitely bring it to the dealer so they can figure it out. You should probably get a loaner car for warranty work as well.
