The short answer is no, there is no way for you to know what's happening. Even if one of Toyota's regional distributors is moving the truck, they don't offer any of that information publicly.
If the truck is already in the country and is just moving around, then the dealer should have a good idea of where it's at.
If you special-ordered one from the factory, even your dealer won't know much about it until it actually hits the port in the U.S. They'll see a VIN get allocated, but they don't get build status or more details. You know that modern auto manufacturing requires quite a bit of advance planning, so that information should be sitting in a computer somewhere. Toyota just doesn't share it outside the manufacturing plant.
