Rear clunk ?'s
I got an OLF at the dealer and they did not lube that rear shaft and said they only do it every 15k miles. So ok what ever after my 30k service the clunk has been gone and is starting to rear it's ugly head , so I want to get rid of it.
1) I told the dealer that I would do it myself . When I asked what grease I should use , he said just normal automotive grease . Right or wrong ?
2) I need to buy a grease gun anyway , what type of gun uses works best for that area ? Flexible hose gun seem to be pain and waste grease since its hard to pump hold the gun and hold it on the fitting. Advice appreciated .
3) What is the official name of that shaft ? I thought you only lube the back end of the shaft correct ???? or do I do the front too. I very seldom have the clunk , maybe a a few times in 40k miles if it's not lubed .
Thanks
