Revtek spacer lift photos

I just lifted my '05 using the RevTek system. 4wheel parts around $800 installed. Should have done it myself but thought I was getting a package deal- just turns out the wheels I want won't quite fit until further mods. So a Roger Brown 1.25" body lift is next that I will do myself and then the 285/65/18 Nitto T/G and Procomp 18" black rims. Hear are the photos: before the Revtek.

.......and after the Revtek- (3" front 2" rear spacer lift). I also took off my running boards before both of these pics. Stay tuned for further improvements!

How did you black out your headlights and remove the amber lenses, did you bake them or have a shop do it?

I've done it before with other lamp assemblies- ScionXA for one. It is easy enough to do and DIY can provide excellent results if done right, if you've got the time and your time is worth less than just finding them elsewhere or your looking for a day long project by all means go for it!

The tacoma/4Runner headlamp assemblies can be done this way also as I'm sure you've seen other posts and procedures here.....but give yourself several hours and don't make any mistakes: in the oven on a piece of wood/cardboard for 5min at 300 and pry open with a "5 in 1" or standard screwdriver. If it isn't budging give it another minute in the oven but don't walk away from it! Then mask prime and paint. Pop off the amber reflector and replace with a bicycle spoke reflector cut to the proper size with a fine tooth ban saw and epoxied/siliconed back into place. Wear gloves so you don't leave any fingerprints inside the lenses. Reheat, and press together with more clear silicone careful not to use too much in the seam, touch any part of the inside with dirty fingers or get anything inside the assembly......- or buy them on ebay for $200 like I did http://myworld.ebay.com/directshoponline/

These were very unique in that I havn't seen others with clear corners.

This was the XA customization I did 2 years ago.
Kenstyle and Fabulous body kits, Ist badging, limo black tint, HID, LEDs, motegi R5, Hankooks, Slammed, custom exhaust, intake, interior, High end audio, front and rear sways, security, ...oh the list goes onl! Lots of $ put into it and it still got about 40 mpg...I ended up trading it in for nothing because I just wanted to get rid of it...I didn't like feeling like a freeway hockey puck ....and 'm all about the project anyway...completely OCD

I knew you'd say something about the glass Josh! knowing how much you've finessed the look of yours I understand it's important to you! yeah that will happen soon I usually make it my first mod ....maybe even next week if and when I have some time to track down a Madico/ Lumar vendor. somewhere around 30% all around. I always kind of do what you did -question the level and wonder what if I had gone darker/lighter. I limo blacked other vehicles and it was just toooooo dark at times- night in the back country, backing into peoples driveways and such. I need to spend some more time doing the research and planning I guess.

loved the kenstyle kit for the xa. I jump on scionlife from time to time. It's a great place to learn about the new Head Units that fit the non-JBL 4runner.
