04 Limited: Have Questions!

Hey guys! It has been a while since I have been on here. I just "exchanged" my 04 SR5 4WD that had 100,000 miles on it for a 04 Limited with 58,000 miles on it.

Now that I have all the extra bells and whistles I have some questions.

1.) How do I program the buttons by the map lights to control my garage door?

2.) I can't seem to get the rear wireless headphones to work. Do you have to select a setting on the NAV headunit to get them to work?

3.)What is the point of the "surround sound" setting? Seems a little out of place without a DVD system??

I am really excited to have the limited.

Here are the details. I will have to change my signature on my posts now!

2004 Limited
V8
Natural White
Tan Leather
Seat Heaters
Factory Navigation / Rear camera
Wireless Headsets
Sunroof
58,000 miles

I'll try to get some pics up soon!

Thanks in advance for the help!

1. To start, I would hold down the first and third button to erase any previous programming. Once you do that, you hold the remote button while holding one of the buttons down. Once the button starts flashing, you have to hit a button on your garage door. Just note that I am telling you how to program a LiftMaster garage. I don't know if the directions vary by brand. There may be more information in your owners manual.

2. You should make sure the rear entertainment unit is powered on. Once you turn on the headphones, they should work.

3. Can't help you with this one. I don't even think my 05 nav has the surround sound feature!

Thanks for the help. I will give this a shot!

What do you mean by "rear unit"? Where do I turn that on?

Thanks!

You should have a remote that you use to control the system. The rear entertainment unit is mounted on the headliner where the dome lights are.
