What is the silver flip up piece on the back of the center console?
I search and didn't find anything on this, so forgive me if this old news or a dumb question.

For the life of me I can't figure out what the silver flip-out piece on the back of my center console is for. For clarification, it's located below the rear air vents on the rear of the center console, and flips up and locks in place. It has small identations on the sides that look like it may accept - may be missing - some other piece.

Garbage bag holder. If you want to get extra special, you can search around and find the actual JDM bag that's supposed to fit in there perfectly.

Interesting - I found the actual bag for sale here, but I think I'll pass - it's $50, and I really don't like the idea of having an open wastebasket in the car, the front storage bin works just fine . Might be nice for long trips with backseat passengers, I guess, but in those cases I think a disposable plastic grocery bag would be preferrable anyway.

At least I can stop wondering about it now, thanks for the responses.
