Battery Size

First of all, I have been lurking on this forum for about a year now, and it has tons of helpful info/tips. This is my very first post. Big thanks to all the inputs.

I bought a new battery for my 07 SR5 4wd runner today. Went to costco and got the optima yellow top size 35 battery (as referenced in optima's reference book for my 4runner). Tried fitting it just now, and found that the negative post is sitting too low to be attached! Have anyone had the same problem? if so, how did you guys resolve it? Would sticking a peice of wood underneath the battery be dangerous as the wood might shift?

alternatively, if costco allow me to refund the battery, which size should i go for?

returned the battery today, and went for size 34. With the adapter, the height is now perfect; however, since the terminals are shifted to one side of the battery on the 34, the negative terminal is now too far away to be connected! ><

I think you need the size 34R (R for reversed)

I had the 34r on my Titan... Biggest junk I've ever bought. Every winter it would die overnight. They said it wasnta good cold weather battery. The warrantied 3 of them for me and after that 3rd one, I sold it and went with the Duralast gold top. Great battery.
