I joined the club!!!

Hey everybody, Just bought a 2006 sr5 last week and I love it!!! I found this forum while looking for an answer to a problem with my MP3 jack and I hate you guys/gals for it. Now I cant wait to start modifying my 4runner I have a few questions. I plan to only to a few things. Id like to add those Cornfed Lifters and some larger tires. Id also like to remove the running boards and add a spolier. Just curious how much should the lift kit cost to install? And what type of shop do you guys reccommend does it and no Im not going to do it myself.........Dont have the tools, time or patience The debadging and spoiler will come in a few months. Right now I want to lift it and add better tires...............Thanks for your time Boston Bill

I ordered the Daystar topout spacer, which should give me around 2" lift up front on my v6 4wd ($50 w/ shipping from wheelers). The Big Brand Tire down the street from my work said theyd install it for $150. Im not sure if this includes alignment, we didnt really get into it. I just casually asked the service advisor when they were fixing a tire for me. Ill try to insist that an alignment is part of the installation, which is true.

Anyways, tire shops are a good place to start for price quotes. Also, if its a big corporate owned one you can try to save money by suggesting they charge you minimally and youll throw their hard working mechanic a nice tip, offer to pay in cash and say you dont need a receipt, and even offer to let them keep the car the overnight (mechanic wanting extra $$ can stay late). No guarantees but Ive saved some money with those techniques.

Good luck!

were you wanting a picture of his stock 4runner?

I definitely dont consider this thread worthless without pics though - he asked a legitimate question and he got a couple responses.

Alright alright, I like pics too, Ill admit it. I just didnt think the thread was worthless without them.

Im about to get my spacers installed so I'm curious if any of the many members with spacers had any recommendations as far as getting them installed at a shop.
