I have an '07 that I debadged, it was pretty easy.
All of the badging on mine was stuck on using double-sided adhesive tape. I used a piece of string and some solvent to remove the badging.
First I took the string in both hands and worked it behind the badging, moving the string back and forth kind of like I was sawing it.
Second I used the solvent to remove the remnants of the tape.
Finally I used a little bit of polish and it came out perfect.
Good luck with yours!

Are you talking about the emblem? If so, I left that on. Not sure if it is held on by tape or screws, but should be easy to find out. Grab some string.
Let me know what you find.

ok I took the time to find out for sure, the Emblem, on the rear liftgate, his held on by tape, NOT screws, no need to remove anything except the emblem itself. I found out the hard way, so you dont have to remove all the BS like I did,
Im waiting on the batteries to recharge, so I can remove the tape, then repaint the emblem Im not diggin the chrome

All the emblems are stuck on by adhesive.
Dental floss will take them off, then goo gone & then wax the area.
I would suggest to wash & wax the entire truck after removing the emblems if you have time.
I got lazy & only waxed that area haha
Some dental floss will break...my 1st set kept on breaking, but my 2nd set worked fine.
I removed all my emblems except the ones on the rear hatch.
J.A. removed all his emblems.

Too bad I didn't see this thread until now, I could have saved you some time/effort. I have removed mine on a few different occasions. All emblems are held on by adhesive except the front grill emblem.

Yeah, that's what I said. That all of them except the front emblem are held on by adhesive so you only need heat and dental floss.

Since you're in colorado, i would suggest you use a blow dryer to heat up the adhesive to soften it up a bit then use dental floss.
I recently debadged my 4runner and it was a pain in the butt due to it being cold so i pulled up closer to my apartment and heated up the emblems for 15-30 seconds. It made life so much easier once the adhesive was gooey.

Open the hood and look behind the grill. There are 3 screws, then 3 tabs you need to push out from behind with a screwdriver.
