Taking a trip to Sequoia National Park, CA
In a few months I'm going on a little road trip to Sequioa. Has anyone been there that has any suggestions for campsites?

I have been there but did not camp. I would check the National Park service site for campsight reservations. I recomend checking out Kings Canyon national park immediattely north of Sequioa while you are there also. It is absolutelly beautiful.

Yeah i was looking at the website, but it's kind of confusing.
That was on my list to do as well. How far north is it?
HB Yeah you can come if you don't mind hanging out with some 18 year olds hahah. Im taking a road trip with some friends so right now we're lookin for a cool campsite and the exact date to go. We were thinking 4th of July if we can get a camp site or the following weekend.

I am only 20, and my girlfriend is 17.
If you are planning on the 4th of July, make sure you make reservations early. I'd say at least a month, maybe 2, depending on how nice of a campground you want.

Kings Canyon and Sequioa are actually connected at the borders. I agree that July 4th weekend may be bad. They may be full already.

You may be able to slip in still, but I would definitely get on it asap. I think places such as Big Bear fill up much sooner for reasons such as less sites, the lake, offroaders, etc in the summer. But I would still expect Sequoia to fill FAR in advance, because unlike Big Bear, it is a popular destination for people across the country. I used to count license plates when I went there as a kid because you would see 20-30 different states there on any given day.

Yeah definitely. My family has a cabin up in Moonridge, Big Bear and the camp sites around there fill up quickly. I'm looking to see if Sequioa has sites similar to Yellow Post camp sites in Big Bear...where its not really a "camp ground."
Wow 20-30, That's pretty crazy
