Bad news for me...but I'm still Lucky
I have just had an accident 5 hrs ago. I was driving across the intersection. Then, I saw another SUV is turning left. I tried to curve out. However, she hit me from my driver side. My 4Runner's driver side is totally damage. The other SUV is Mitsubitsi Momtero...its front is gone. My driver door is stuck...so I have to get out of the rig by the passenger side. I got the neck and shoulder injuried. The other SUV has a 36 yrs lady, an about 18 yrs old girl, and 6 yrs old boy. The little boy seems very scary. He cried. The young girl is fine. Only the lady are hurt by scattered window glass. Only the lady needs some sticks from her cheek to her neck. I am so lucky that I was in the 4Runner otherwise, I could be ended up in the hospital for a long time.

Sorry to hear about your accident. At least you were able to pretty much walk away from it without any major injuries. I know it won't make you feel better, but a vehicle can be replaced. Feel better soon.

Thanks for the comfort. No, she was on green like me. However, she turn left thinking that I could pass before my rig is comming.

So pretty much it was her fault. You had the right of way.

that's a funny thing.. because i was watching something on tv once where they said colorado's law states that if you are going straight and someone turning left hits you, it's your fault. same situation as above, both are green.. it was on the county channel and some cop they were interviewing said it.. not sure how your state would treat it..
anyways, glad you are okay and do not have any major injuries

The madam officer told me that there is an witness(the guy) who was in front of her. He said she kept honking him. Finally, he made the left turn and then she followed. However, she was not quick enough. The officer said It was lady fault and she is gonna pressed charge on her. If I didn't hear from her and everything is alright. Otherwise, the witness and I have to appear at the court.
I don't know she has insurrance or not...On the paper it listed her insurrance as "Traverlers"...I don't know what it means. My rig is towed to different location. Tomorrow, I will contact my insurrance to see what happens. It may cost at least 5-7 thousand dollar to fix that damage.

Sorry to hear about your accident. The most important thing is that You and people from other car weren't seriously injured. I hope You will get your 4Runner repaired soon and get it back on the road.
Take care...

I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. I'm thankful to hear that you weren't seriously hurt. Take care and remember, cars can be replaced, people can't.

Lin,
Sorry to hear the bad news man. Glad to know that you're ok though. The 4Runner can definitely be fixed up faster than you in an accident so it's good news you didn't suffer any injuries. You might just want to see a doctor ASAP just to make sure. They say some injuries you don't notice initially, but make take a couple of hours/day to show symptoms.
It's totally her fault. If you were going straight and she was turning across your lane, that means her light was Yield to Green. She needs to Yield to you since you have the right of way. My sister got into an accident and it was her fault because she didn't yield.
Well glad your ok again. Hope it all works out for you with the ladies insuarance.

Sad to hear about the accident. Good thing you weren't injured though and I hope that justice prevails. Keep your chin up... luckily both you and your runner will live.

samething happened to my gf about a month ago. some bonehead turned left "thinking" he could make it to the other side. he totaled her lexus and his pickup. the officer @ the scene told my gf that it was the guys fault. fortunately she wasn't hurt and the guy had insurance.
hopefully things work out for you.

linhsy I'm so glad to hear you're okay. Your description of the accident reminded me of how Jamed Dean got killed according to a show I saw on Speed Channel about a month ago. A guy trying to turn left not yielding / seeing an oncoming vehicle. I found THIS REENACTMENT on the net too. Like the Ford that hit him the Montero is a huge vehicle, you could have been very seiously injured / killed.

Lin,
I am sorry to hear what happend and hopefully you are ok. That is the main thing, that you are ok. Lucky no one was hurt. :awais:
Did you happen to hit your head at all? If your neck and shoulder get any worse or do not get any better, get back to the doctor and have them run a CAT Scan and or MRI on your upper body.
