Key(s) won't unlock doors

Hopefully somebody can help (or tell me I'm an idiot).

I have a 2006 4Runner Sport and have 2 keys. Neither one will unlock the doors. Both work in the back gate though (to roll down the window). The FOB works fine to lock and unlock.

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks

EC

Ok, 1st give us a little more info. Did this just happen? Did you buy it that way? Does the key turn? Does it make a noise like it's trying to unlock? Can you lock the door?
Check the fuse?
Good luck....let us know what you come of with.
Thanks!

Same here. The keys get a little worn and then won't unlock the front door without much difficulty. I figured I would pursue a warranty claim on the front door lock at some point but, recently, when I lost my my key on a running track while the 4Runner sat in the parking lot, it occurred to me that the key being inoperable in the front door was not such a bad thing.

It just happened a day ago. And it did work before (I have a FOB, but wife doesnt). The key will insert, but wont turn at all. Not a tiny bit. No noise. Cant lock the door either (won't turn either way). The best way I can describe it, is like the lock is frozen. I've had it in the garage with the heat on for the past 6 hours, and shot some lock de-icer in for good measure. Just checked it now with no luck. I havent checked the fuze, but would a shot fuze keep the lock from even turning?

thanks for the reply BTW

Anyone. Anyone. Bueller. Anyone.

I've still had no luck at all with this. Sprayed a bit of Rust Check in the lock last night and it still won't give a bit. Last step will be to take it to a dealer, I guess.
