Question Running Board Lights - HELP!

Not sure if this has ever been discussed, but nothing is coming up on the search. My front drivers side running board light is out. I've checked/changed the bulb and the bulb is fine, but something must be wrong with the wiring, connections etc. Has anyone run into this or have any suggestions. Any help with a wiring diagram would also be helpful. I don't think anything is shortingout, because no fuses are blown and all other lights, acc. are still working.

Its an 03 Limited w/v6

The socket for the bulb may be dirty or have a bent contact. I would start by checking for 12 volts at the socket with a voltmeter.

I had this same problem a while back. Check the wires going into the socket. One of mine was twisted and broken. I pulled/cut back some of the insulation and there it was. I soldered it back together and now it works. Use a volt meter and check to see if the socket is getting power. That's how I traced mine out.
Simple and only takes a few minutes.
Hope that helps.
